Taking a look at upcoming UCI race events. The tour de catalunya has just finished up at the weekend. By all reports we had a very good,  weeks racing. First in the overall standings was Michael Albasini from Switzerland. Followed in second place in the overall standings by Samuel Sanchez of Spain riding for team Euskaltel. The winner Michael Albasini was riding for team Greenedge. The next UCI event coming up is the Ronde van Vlaanderen / Tour des Flandres in Belgium. Most of our top riders should be present at this race, and possibly a few from the top ten who will all have the best road bike tires equipped. Its all good preparations for the really big races that will be coming up later on in the year. Some good bikes should be on show at the Tour des Flandres, hopefully we will be seeing something of the latest components like the Campagnolo veloce a cheaper version of the record. Its coming round to the time of the year for all the big cycling races are about to begin, starting this week with the, Tour of Cataluyna.  And the hype that’s being built up around these races this year is tremendous. Everyone is looking forward to an exciting year of world class entertainment, in the cycling world. There’s quite a few top class events coming up fairly soon, and also a lot of smaller events that would be well worth watching. Of course we will be seeing some of the latest bikes on show, at most of these big races. Companies like Giant, Cube, Felt, and Kona will be keen to show of there latest models. We will most probably have the likes of Felt bikes, showing of the Felt F75 or the Felt Z85, just some of this years new stuff. Continue reading →

Blinds are making the news at the minute, well not actually blinds but the companies who  are selling them. there has been some news in the media  this past week about how well some of the blinds companies are doing, even after,  taking into account,”  the state of the economy in recent times” . So the blinds market seems to  be fairly buoyant just now, which is really good if you are in this line of business. There seems to be quite a few companies dealing in all types of cheap blinds, from vertical to roman blinds and a hundred other different types in between. As far as i’m aware, ” going by news and media sources,” one company in particular sold over ninety million pounds worth of blinds in one particular year. Continue reading →
